When the timelessness of monuments meets the transience of the skies, a unique dance unfolds between the ancient and the elusive. For this contest, set out in search of that suspended moment when built heritage blends with the clouds: a cathedral brushed by passing cumulus clouds, a castle shrouded in a misty veil, or an old bell tower rising proudly toward turbulent clouds. Capture this dialogue between architecture that defies time and clouds that pass by never to return, revealing the power of our heritage in dialogue with the sky. The winning entries will be exhibited in late March 2025 to mark International Cloud Day as part of the activities organized by our partner, Sorbonne University.
To mark International Cloud Day, a selection of photos will be exhibited during the cloud awareness weekend, offering the public a fresh perspective on our heritage set against its celestial backdrop.
